Gladys Kunkle Montecalvo, 95, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, May 17, 2015. She was born January 25, 1920, in South Fayette, a daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Nonclerg Kunkle. She was a graduate from Canonsburg High School, class of 1937. Ms. Montecalvo managed the Nolla Shop in Canonsburg for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Panther Basketball fan, and enjoyed crafting. She was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. Surviving are her son, David (Camille) Lipinski of Canonsburg; daughter, Donna (John) Lipinski DeFife, of Virginia; sister, Jean Brytus of Houston, PA; grandchildren, Scott (Jean Louise) DeFife; Lauren (Jeff) Gregory; and Michael Lipinski; great-grandchildren, Justin Gregory; Ryan Gregory and Jack DeFife; step son, Dennis (Marilyn) Montecalvo; and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Montecalvo; brother, Arthur Kunkle; and step children, Ronald and Allen Montecalvo. Friends will be received Friday 3-8pm at the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
