Attached is a Ducky Swan photo of a streetcar on the last day of operation, August 30, 1953. The streetcars tied up traffic, particularly when a store was getting a delivery and there was parking on the other side of the street, as in this picture. I believe the policeman was Charlie Susnak. I had a poor version of this picture that I used for Reflections, but I'm tickled to get a glossy print to scan.
