Alex M. Supinski Retired Canon-McMillan High School principal

Alex M. Supinski, 84, of McMurray, died Friday, February 15, 2008, in ManorCare, McMurray.
He was born Tuesday, February 5, 1924, in Canonsburg, a son of Adam and Alexandra Rucki Supinski.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Mr. Supinski attended Canonsburg schools and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor's degree. He worked as a school educator for Canon-McMillan School District and retired as principal of Canon-McMillan High School. He was a member of St. Patrick Parish, American Legion of McMurray and White Eagles Society of Canonsburg

His first wife, Rose Yanchak Supinski, died September 11, 1991. On April 25, 1994, he married Irene Chmiel, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Rader (Kenneth) of South Fayette; a brother, Stanley Supinski of Canonsburg; a sister, Agnes Szymiatis of Canonsburg; a granddaughter, Christina Rader; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
